Carbon reporting for your business and your clients

Using Carbon Verify for your own reporting or client work.

Use Carbon Verify to organise activity records, calculate supported emissions and prepare reporting documents for your own business or a client.

The same Carbon Verify product. No separate adviser tier.

Carbon Verify starts with focused Standard CRP inputs for PPN 006. Turn on Extended footprint only where wider coverage is needed. Both modes include project files, the Evidence Pack and document appearance for all subscribers.

A separate file for each organisation

Keep each organisation’s data, reporting period, references, review state and document appearance together in a portable .carbonverify project. Save one before opening another. Clearly named downloads help you identify the organisation, period and version without building a client dashboard.

Return to the same browser to continue your current project. Save a project file for a backup, to change organisations or to hand work over. You do not need to download one every time you open the tool.

Editable documents, with or without branding

Prepare clean Word and HTML reports without Carbon Verify promotional branding. Add an organisation logo, a restrained accent colour and optional preparer or adviser credits where useful. The reporting content, limitations and sources remain part of the document.

Word text and tables remain editable. Change underlying figures in Carbon Verify and regenerate; edits made in Word do not update the project. The reporting organisation, preparer and genuine approver remain distinct.

Local working, not hosted client accounts

Activity data, project processing and document generation stay in the browser. Files and logo images are processed locally, not uploaded to Carbon Verify. Licence validation and payment are handled separately by Lemon Squeezy.

Carbon Verify has no client logins, hosted client document store, automatic cloud sync or simultaneous collaborative editing. Retain your project files and source evidence securely, and agree who has the current copy when handing work over.

The steps for preparing a client's report

  1. Collect: agree the reporting purpose, boundary and period; gather the source records.
  2. Prepare: create the organisation’s project, enter the activities and explain estimates.
  3. Review: use Check & download for a labelled draft and working Evidence Pack once basic numeric and date checks pass; unresolved entries are labelled pending. Resolve outstanding questions with the organisation.
  4. Approve: record genuine board or equivalent management approval in Reduction plan, not merely the preparer’s review.
  5. Deliver: return to Check & download for the finished CRP in Word or HTML. Use the separate optional Carbon Footprint Statement only where useful, with its own sign-off; it is not an extra PPN 006 requirement. Retain the Evidence Pack and a dated editable working file.

The software supports your work. It does not replace professional judgement, independently assure the figures or promise compliance or tender acceptance.

The guided demo keeps fictional inputs locked. Choose the example business, Standard or Extended scope and document style to see matching samples; changing its review controls does not change those completed documents.

Standard CRP also supports relevant other fuels, released gases, purchased energy and shared-load freight. Suitable existing supplier or adviser calculations can be recorded for missing sources, with the exact period, source, method, evidence, boundary and a no-double-counting confirmation. Additional Scope 3 categories belong in Extended. See the practical coverage and separate-figure guide; entering a result does not independently verify it.

Use the existing Carbon Verify subscription

The existing annual options remain £149 + VAT for one active device or £299 + VAT for up to three active devices. Both provide the same workflow and outputs. VAT is added at checkout where applicable, and the purchased activation allowance still applies.

Check the current terms for your licence and contact us if you need to confirm commercial client-use arrangements. Sharing a file is not a transfer of software access. There is no new adviser subscription to purchase.
